Integrated graphics isn't that bad, but that depends what you have. My old computer (Sempron, 1GB memory, integrated Geforce 6100 128MB shared) ran the game just fine at medium settings. By fine, I mean it's playable and relatively enjoyable.
Before that, I played GW on an even older computer (P4, 256MB memory, Radeon 9000 128MB dedicated), and it lags like crazy. That's because it didn't have enough memory... Now, your system has memory right in between those two, so that's probably fine. However, there's a good chance your graphics is worse than both of the computers above, so the game will be somewhere between "playable" and "crazy lag". And that's running at low/medium settings. I suggest getting a trial key from someone, so you can see whether the game runs before buying it. |

hey, I'm also thinking about getting guild wars prophecies, and I was wondering if my computer could handle the game. I have a pentium III 930 mghz processor, 512 RAM (should be about 1.2 ghz soon), and a 128 mb graphics card. Do you think I will be able to run it. I'm not sure if the processor speed meets the minimum but will processor speed matter if i'm only about 70 mghz behind?

Yeah, the best thing to do for those who doubt that their system will run GW is to get the trial key and see if the game will work. I think most high street game shops are selling GW 15 days trial dvd now or you might be able to order in from GW offical site.
Keep in mind that if it run, the game will not be as good as it should be. You'll be missing out all of the eye candy stuff, you'll get a lot of lag, low fps, slow loading time etc. This may ruin your enjoyment of the game but if you can live with it, it's up to you really. |

Running GW on a low quality computer is fine but once you move up to a better one, you will wonder how you ever lived on it... (thats what happened to me!) its kinda like dial up and dsl/cable/t1 kind of thing. Dial up is okay before you try dsl/cable/t1 but once you get higher connection, dial up wont suffice.
And if you are wanting to get GW to play long, go for it. There are about 30 titles to go after. For best experience, you should play all 3 at some point. |
